Why Is Jesus Important?

Jesus went to the cross and died for us, shedding His blood to pay the price for our sins. Originally, we were all born into spiritual death by no fault of our own. Jesus, the Son of God, came to this earth to free man from spiritual death. He stepped into our place and paid the price for our sin enabling us to be reborn into the family of God. The price has already been paid but the decision has to be made by you in order to receive the benefits of His sacrifice.

Even though Jesus paid the price for every person in the world; each of us, individually, must come to a place of acknowledging Him.  Without personally making a conscious choice to accept as truth that Jesus is the Son of God; that He came to the earth as a man and lived a sinless life; that He shed His blood, died on the cross (in our place) and paid the price for our sin; that He was raised from the dead and seated in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father; You cannot be born again.

Do you believe that Jesus died for you and God raised Him from death?  If your answer is yes then all you have to do is pray a simple prayer and you will be saved.

This prayer is based on what the Apostle Paul wrote in the letter he sent to the church at Rome. He wrote, “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” –Romans 10:9 & 10

This prayer is also based on what Jesus said in the book of John to a man by the name of Nicodemus. “Marvel not that I said unto you, you must be born again.” –John 3:7

Pray this as you believe in your heart and you will be saved:

“Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and that you came to this earth and died on that cross in my place to save me from my sins. I confess to you that I am a sinner and I believe this moment that I receive Your forgiveness for my sin. Jesus, I make you the Lord of my life. Here’s my life, it is now yours. God, I believe that I am now born again into your family. You are now my Father and I am your child. Thank you Father for sending Jesus. Thank you Jesus for taking my place. Amen. “

Now that you have prayed this prayer you are born again. The Apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to the Corinthians, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” –II Corinthians 5:17. You are no longer the person you used be. Now, instead of being a sinner filled with death you have been reborn a child of God filled with the life of God.

The decision to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life is the best decision you will ever make.

He has made you righteous (given you right standing with God) through His blood and there is nothing you can do to earn that.  Everything has been done for you by grace.
